Summary of project:
Street Soccer Academy (SSA) is an FA Charter Standard Football Club and registered charity looking to provide help and support to individuals with complex and multiple needs. Through football and fitness sessions delivered at our regional centres we look to address issues related to homelessness, employment, education & training, physical & mental health, substance misuse, finance and relationships. Our service users are referred into our programmes by referral partners including the prison & probation service, accommodation providers, NHS, employment services and community groups.
Our aim is by delivering excellence through our programmes, to generate hope, provide dignity and fuel ambition for individuals who lack hope and dignity because of personal circumstances and lack ambition due to loss of motivation. We achieve our aims by providing everyone with ongoing mentoring and ‘round-the clock’ support from our floating support team.
The project will focus on our offender management service but will build capacity for impact management for all our services. The project will involve building on our Theory of Change and outcome data collection to ensuring high quality and cost-effective impact data are available and used. It will also give us the confidence to prove our impact on offenders to commissioners and funders, and ultimately demonstrate the impact of the third sector in criminal justice policy and how this systematic change can improve outcomes.
