Summary of project:
The Object of Age UK Herefordshire & Worcestershire is to promote the relief of elderly people in any manner which now or hereafter may be deemed by law to be charitable in and around the counties of Herefordshire and Worcestershire. This is interpreted as to improve the quality of life for all older people (aged 50 and over) across Herefordshire and Worcestershire by promoting choice, opportunity and independence, by providing direct services to older people, supporting others who provide services, liaison, awareness raising, and campaigning.
Our project will focus on two of the four main building blocks of impact management which we have identified as key priorities to enable us to seek income opportunities, enhance our ability to be sustainable and make us a better organisation. These are Outcomes and Performance Management. The grant, alongside experts in this field and the support from the wider peer network, would enable us to change the way we operate – moving from just collecting and reporting on basic information, through to everyone focusing on what meaningful impact are we making for our clients and how we use this information to make strategic and tactical decisions. With Data Orchard and Dizions we will review our data assets and develop robust impact measures across our programmes, carry out awareness and workshop sessions for staff and volunteers, develop performance dashboards, embed new processes into daily routines and review our software.
